In addition, in the case of repairing the wheel hub and replacing the tire, the vehicle must also perform dynamic balancing on the wheel. Otherwise, it will cause abnormal wear of the tire and affect the driving stability of the vehicle.
Because the wheel imbalance is very harmful to the car, the wheel must be checked and corrected for dynamic balance in the maintenance of the car. The detection and correction of wheel dynamic balance is performed on a wheel balancer. According to different detection methods, wheel balancing machines can be divided into balancing machines that can detect the dynamic balance of wheels. Off-vehicle balancing machines can be divided into horizontal balancing machines and vertical balancing machines according to the arrangement of their main shafts.
The most widely used currently is off-car balancing machines. Its rotating shaft is supported by a rigid element, and the mass and phase of the wheel's imbalance point are directly measured during inspection. The off-balancer works according to the principle of dynamic balance. During the repair and maintenance of the car, because the wheels have been detached from the axle, the balance detection is performed in the system established by the off-balancer. The biggest advantage of the horizontal balancing machine is that the wheel being tested is easy to load and unload, the mechanical structure and sensing device are relatively simple, and the cost is relatively low. It is the best model for maintenance manufacturers. However, because the wheel forms a large static moment on the long cantilever main shaft, which affects the initial setting state of the sensing system, especially the pre-tension state of the vertical sensor, it is difficult to guarantee measurement accuracy after long-term use, and the zero drift is also large. , The sensitivity is relatively low, but its accuracy can still meet the requirements of general operating vehicles, and its sensitivity can reach 10g.
Although the vertical balancer is not as convenient as the horizontal balancer for loading and unloading wheels, the mass of the wheel is directly pressed on the centerline of the spindle, which not only does not form a strong moment, but also the static load on the vertical sensor is smaller than the weight of the wheel. The strain gauge is a square strain plate as large as the work surface. The horizontal sensor is designed to be one on the left and the other on the left. The square strain plate is provided with a plurality of empty slots to reduce the rigidity of the strain plate, thereby greatly improving the sensitivity of the sensing system. The accuracy of the vertical balancer is extremely extreme, generally reaching 3g, and it has good repeatability and stability.
Use of off-balancer in maintenance: The parameter display and operating system of off-balancer are displayed by light-emitting diodes. After the wheels are installed with special positioning cones and fasteners, the motor can be started to perform balancing. The balance will automatically stop when the belt has accumulated enough for several weeks, and the left and right imbalance values will be displayed digitally. After the wheel is completely stopped, you can turn the wheel by hand. Turn the wheel to the right when the unbalance indicator light is on, indicating that the highest point on the outside of the rim is an unbalanced position, and install a corresponding balance weight at this position. Then slowly turn the wheel by hand until the unbalance indicator on the left is fully lit, indicating that the highest point on the inner side of the rim is the unbalanced position, and install the corresponding balance weight at this position. After the installation is completed, a second test is performed to observe whether the remaining imbalance amount meets the requirements.
Car-mounted balancing machines are generally used in the detection of car balances at inspection stations. However, for high-speed car wheels, if the off-wheel type dynamic balancer is used to balance and then mounted on the car, two sentences of imbalance may still occur. Therefore, after the off-car wheel dynamic balancer is used to balance the wheels, it can be used for proofreading on the on-car wheel dynamic balancer.
